How to Use Your Wegovy® or Mounjaro® Injection Pen
This guide provides comprehensive tutorials for patients on how to safely and effectively administer your Wegovy® or Mounjaro® medication using the pre-filled injection pens. General Information for Both Medications
Both Wegovy® (semaglutide) and Mounjaro® (tirzepatide) are once-weekly subcutaneous injections prescribed for weight management.
Injection Sites for Both Medications
Both medications can be injected into three main areas:
Abdomen: The area around your belly button, ensuring you keep a distance of at least 2 inches (5 cm) from it
Thigh: The front of your upper thighs (avoid the inner thigh area)
Upper Arm: The back of your upper arm (you may need assistance from another person to use this site)

Basic Supplies Needed
For either medication, you will need:
Your new injection pen
An alcohol swab (or soap and water)
A sterile gauze pad or cotton ball
A sharps disposal bin (a heavy-duty plastic container with a secure lid)
